Automated Safety Cone Placement and Retrieval
Centreville Manufacturing announces its latest trailer product line addition, the AutoCone 130 trailer. This automatic cone machine allows traffic cone placement and retrieval by placing traffic control cones on the roadway without exposing an operator or employee to oncoming traffic. Designed for the a variety of traffic control scenarios including temporary lane closures, mobile road work, special event traffic control and roadway maintenance.
Road Construction Traffic Cone Placement
The Autocone 130 trailer makes possible the placement of 36" weighted orange safety cones in a roadway work zone without exposing an operator or employee to traffic hazards or oncoming traffic. The trailer, pulled by a standard pickup truck requires only the truck operator to place up to 136 orange safety cones per load. This trailer is ideal for traffic management and traffic control for mobile road maintenance, special event traffic control, temporary lane closures and any other scenario requiring the placement of safety cones.
Requires Minimal Investment and Operating Costs
The trailer is operated by the pickup driver using a standard 1/2 ton pickup truck and does not require any modification to the truck. Cone placement is performed by the operator of the truck using the light switch and turn signal of the truck. This innovative trailer allows road construction and road repair contractors to deploy safety cones for marking work zone areas with fewer employees and greater safety.
Increased Functionality
The Autocone 130 trailer is designed to both place and pickup safety cones from either side of the trailer and is easily configured to place or pickup the cones from either side of the vehicle. The trailer is also designed to pickup cones that have been knocked over.
