Scrap Wood Heat

Trash, Eyesore, Expense?NO!

We think you should heat your building with it.

Many businesses accumulate wood when receiving goods on pallets, or when knocking apart shipping crates. Other businesses generate scrap wood as a by-product of something that they make out of lumber. In any case, heating costs are skyrocketing, so start to think of scrap wood as an asset instead of an expense.

Our solution is to burn the wood to heat water, and to use that water to generate clean, safe heat. By doing so, you are eliminating the disposal costs of the wood, while simultaneously eliminating the heating costs that you normally spend to heat the building.

The machine consists of the 100,000 BTU wood furnace that is positioned outdoors, and the air handler that you will put inside where the heat is wanted. Two hoses (supply and return) connect between the two components to finish the installation. It’s that simple! The package is 100% portable and designed for instant setup requiring no tools. Choose either a skid mounted or trailer mounted furnace.

The system is complete and ready to use. The furnace is mounted on a steel skid base that includes forklift pockets to make it easy to move around your site. The exhaust stack/chimney folds down during transport and can be raised to the upright position in seconds by our exclusive hinged mechanism. No tools are required at any stage of the setup and operation of the machine. The air handler is mounted on a cart making it easy to move thru doors, down hallways, in elevators, etc. The air handler cart includes brackets and a shelf to store the hoses when not in use.

Position the cart in an area that you want to heat. There are NO fumes or odors associated with the air handler, as it uses only hot water passing thru a coil, and a small electric fan. The system is equally suitable in the office or in the warehouse.  The air handler has its own thermostat that cycles the fan off and on.

Easily connect the liquid hoses (supply and return) between the air handler and the heater by snapping the quick disconnect fittings together. Special valved fittings are used to automatically prevent the antifreeze/glycol solution from leaking out. No other plumbing is needed. The machine includes a storage tank of glycol mixture and an automatic transfer pump and pressure switch to provide any make up water that may be needed. An extension cord is required, or a small generator can be used if the machine is required in extreme remote locations.

For really short term needs, the trailer mounted version makes great sense. The folding chimney and quick disconnect hoses allow you to setup and generate heat very quickly. For large industrial plants or government installations, the portable package allows you to use up one source of wood, then to easily move to another building, or even across town to the another location. For companies in the refuse industry, this package allows a customer to dispose of wood waste (on site) while heating their building at the same time.

Pallets pose a challenge because they need to be sawed into smaller pieces, or dismantled to fit in the door of the boiler. Our solution is to use our exclusive pallet disintegrator. Use your own forklift to carry pallets to the device and to crush them. Place the pallet into the slide mechanism, and raise your forks to crush the pallet into small chunks that will easily fit into the burner box door. It takes seconds to crush the pallet into small pieces.

The cost of fuel and energy has changed the way we think. Every time you sign a check to dispose of accumulated wood AND you sign another check for heating fuel, you will appreciate the value of this system.
