Fabrication and Sub-Assembly Services

We invite you to take advantage of our specialized fabrication skills. We have state of the art equipment, we have decades of experience, and we are creative. We can produce parts to any stage of completion that you wish, be it flat steel cut parts or ready to install coated parts. Read below to learn more:

Laser Cutting

We use our Bystronic 4,000 watt laser for cutting shaped parts. The maximum sheet size is 5’ x 10’ with a maximum steel thickness of 1”. The tandem table arrangement allows the operator to load/unload parts on one table while the other is being cut.

   
The laser can cut from your CAD or DXF files, or we can design, draw and program the machine based on your conceptual sketches or ideas. Note how small and precise the cut is compared to the lettering on the penny.

Bending

This photo shows a bracket being made on our 190 ton x 10’ LVD brake. This programmable 4 axis machine is CNC controlled to assure close tolerances on your part.

When you combine laser cut parts and precision bending, there is no limit to the possibilities of parts that can be made.

Welding/Assembly

After making your individual parts, we can weld those parts as required to make a finished assembly such as the generator base shown here. Note the pads for the engine mounts and the battery holder rack.

   

We offer additional assembly services to bring your part further along if you wish. In these photos, we installed engine/radiator assemblies in the base we made. We also mounted electrical components and pre-wired them in our electrical cabinet in the photo on the right.

Powder Coating and Painting

This is one of our Powder Coating ovens. This 30 foot batch oven allows us to powder coat very large pieces if needed. The special ductwork provides for even heating of the parts in the oven to assure a good long lasting finish. We have on-site blasting and hot water washing pre-treatment systems to properly treat the metal prior to applying the powder.

   

Powder coating offers a tough durable finish. It is economical to use when a large quantity of parts can be hung on the racks shown for pre-treatment, application of powder and then oven curing without having to unload them several times. Additionally, we offer a 40’ spray booth for wet painting large parts.
